Which? Connect is a consumer research access panel owned and operated by Which?.

As a member of the panel, you will have the opportunity to participate in online surveys and from time to time consumer research activities such as, one-to-one interview sessions, focus groups, workshops, qualitative research, product testing, and polls.
 
Joining this panel is voluntary and you only have to respond to opportunities you want to.
 
The terms and conditions below apply to anyone using Which? Connect so please read them carefully. You should only use Which? Connect if you agree to them.

Your personal data: We take the security of your personal data seriously and we will always act reasonably and in accordance with our privacy policy and cookies. Please take the time to read these policies.
 
Occasionally, companies whose products or brand have been the topic of a survey ask to see the relevant data. This is only shared with them at an aggregate level and, if they ask for further information, we may provide quotes from our Connect members. We will not however, attach any personal data to the quotes that may be shared with them from time to time.

 
1. How does it work?

1.1 Eligibility

In order to join Which? Connect, you have to be:
 

• over 18 years of age;

• currently residing in the UK; and

• a current Which? member.

1.2. Registration

• When registering, you will be asked to provide some personal details so we can contact you about surveys and other activities that we think may be of interest to you.

• Once you submit this information, an account will be created for you in our Connect portal and  we will send a confirmation email to the contact email address you provided.

• ·Please note, you can only register one Connect account.

 1.3 Participation in  Which? Connect
 
There are several ways in which we may inform you about available surveys and other opportunities:

through a monthly email newsletter that we will send to your email address.

We may email you with details of surveys or opportunities that we think may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from receiving these email alerts at any time.

You will also be able to find details of forthcoming surveys by logging into your Connect account.

2. What you should do for us

You agree that you will not use Which? Connect in any way that is:

• illegal or unlawful, or likely to encourage illegal or unlawful behaviour;

• likely to damage the reputation of Which?; or

• likely to be a nuisance, harmful or deceptive to any other person.

 
You must ensure that any information and/or content you provide when participating in surveys and other activities is:

• factually accurate and/or your genuinely held belief or opinion that is based on facts;

• not defamatory, obscene or offensive, immoral, sexually explicit, dishonest;

• not infringing on the copyright, trademarks or any other intellectual property rights of another person; and

• not promoting your own or your employer's business, seeking to recruit new staff, or otherwise inclusive of any advertising or promotional material.

You also agree/confirm that you:

• will not use artificial intelligence when responding to a survey or participating in another Which? Connect activity we have made available to you;

• will not discuss, disclose or reveal any details relating to research you participated in as a member or contributor of Which? Connect given the sensitivities of the research which may be part of an undercover investigation;

• will not try to access any confidential information (including usernames and passwords) of any other person, or try to collect, store or otherwise use any personal data of other Which? Connect members or contributors;

• will not do anything to damage or disrupt our websites; this includes the transmission in any form of a programme or file which is capable of interrupting, destroying, or limiting the capabilities of the website, server, connected networks or other users' computers.

• will not use, or encourage others to use, our website, or the details relating to research you participate in, for their or your commercial gain; and

• will not otherwise use our websites in a way that may cause a nuisance to others.

Please tell us as soon as possible if you think someone is misusing Which? Connect or if you think someone else is using your login details by emailing us at connecthelpdesk@which.co.uk.

 
3. Prize Draws

As a thank you for your participation, points are awarded for completing surveys and other activities.The number of points offered for participating in each survey and activity will be stated.
 
The points you have accumulated by participating in surveys and other activities by

the date of a Prize Draw will be automatically entered into that Prize Draw. The more points you have secured, the more entries you will have in the draw.

•  Prize Draws will be held quarterly (in March, June, September and December) on a date between the 1st and 15th days of those months and will be performed by a random computer process. You’ll be able to find the specific date of the next draw by logging into your account. We will also include this information in emails that notify panel members of new surveys and activities.

•  In each Prize Draw six winners will be selected. The prizes available will be stated as part of the details we publish ahead of each Prize Draw. 

• The winners in each Prize Draw will be notified by email and given details of how to claim their prize. 

• If a prize is not claimed within 14 days of the winner being notified (or the winner rejects their prize) the prize will be forfeited and we will be entitled to select another winner using the process described above.

• Each winner’s prize will be provided within 6-8 weeks of them claiming their prize.

• Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize.

• If a specified prize is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute it with another  of equal or greater value.

• If you do not want to participate in Prize Draws you can opt out by emailing: connecthelpdesk@which.co.uk with "Prize Draw" in the subject line.

• When you join the panel we will ask if, should you win a prize, you would agree to;

• your username being included in the Prize Draw results we publish in the Connect portal; and

• being contacted about being included in an article featuring the Prize Draw winner(s), should we choose to publish such an article. 

Please note Which? may be required to provide the winners surname, the county they live in and email address to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) to demonstrate that a valid draw has taken place, If you would not be agreeable to this you should opt out of the Prize Draws by emailing: connecthelpdesk@which.co.uk with "Prize Draw" in the subject line.

• Which? accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering this Competition or accepting a prize. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude the liability of Which? for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of our negligence.

4. Closing your account


You can close your account at any time by emailing us at connecthelpdesk@which.co.uk.

 If at any time you do not participate in any surveys or other activities for a continuous six month period we will contact you to check whether you would like us to remove you from the panel.

We reserve the right to close your account at any time and immediately, if you are in breach of these terms and conditions.

We also reserve the right to terminate the operation of Which? Connect at any time without reason.

 
5. Other important things you need to know

Please ensure any content you print, copy or download from our website is for your personal use only and only for the purpose of completing a  survey or participating in another Which? Connect opportunity we have made available to you.

The information we send you may include links to other websites operated by third parties. We do not endorse these third parties and we do not have any control over the nature or accuracy of content on these websites or the way in which they will use the data you provide to them.

Which? reserves the right to vary these terms at any time.

 
6. What happens if you don't comply with these terms?
 
We will treat any non-compliance as a serious issue, and if we think you have breached any of these terms, we may take any action that we consider appropriate. This may include:

• temporary or permanent suspension of your access to Which? Connect; or

• taking legal action against you, possibly to recover any financial loss that we have suffered as a result of your actions.
